Hey guys and welcome to my blog! I have some big aspirations for this site and I'm extremely excited to have an outlet to focus all my creative energy towards. Right now I am in the process of designing this blog and I just wanted to share how it has been going so far.
From the start I knew I wanted a clean looking blog, however I didn't want this site to lose its color and slip into overwhelming minimalist territory. I spent hours looking through downloadable themes until I came across the one that my platform is currently using. I chose to use a theme because although I dabble with coding, a theme is created by professionals and just has a better look overall.
While I was looking through themes I had a consistent idea of what I wanted the logo of this blog to look like and i am currently in the process of designing and compiling a logo for the header of this page. As I was looking for fonts I discovered this adorable blog, Angie Makes. (Her can be found here) It had a really helpful tutorial and links to a bunch of adorable inspo for my logo.
Below are some progress shots from the design process:

| This was the first step of creating my logo. I found a free brushstroke png and a free calligraphy font. |

| In Photoshop I found a gold foil texture and used the clipping tool to use it as the background for the "morgan!" portion of my logo. |

| After I created the watercolor base of the logo I decided to go with a paintbrush font that I had downloaded on my computer. |

| Using the same clipping technique from above I added a purple/ blue watercolor ombre to the text. |
